Ibervillea sonorae takes the name 'sonorae' from the place, where it comes from (Sonora, Mexico). It is a very particular perennial plant, due to its irregular shape, which makes it look like a crushed stone. It looks like a large caudex with no roots or stems. It produces small, bright green climbing twigs, similar to vine leaves, on which beautiful yellow flowers sprout in summer.
