Description:

This globe-shaped cactus tends to become cylindrical over time. Its green stem has numerous tuberculate ribs above which we find white and fluffy areoles. Its thorns come out from the areoles: the radials are numerous, white-yellowish and thin while the central ones are more robust and brown in color. The real highlight of this plant are its flowers. The inflorescences bloom at the apex of the stems and can also have considerable size. Its petals are wide, purple pink, light pink and cream that fade from the lightest color to the darkest starting from the center towards the end of the flower.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 8 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, for example formed by a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
