Also called 'Monkey's tail', due to its drooping habit. Its stem is covered with thick, long, thin and soft white or yellowish spines. In nature it grows, hanging on the Cerro El Fraile mountain at an altitude of 1300-1500 meters above sea level. For this reason, it is perfect for decorating hanging pots. Its flashy red flower, highlighted by a white down, is a really beautiful thing to see. It is an easy-to-grow cactus, which makes it perfect for begginers. Synonym Cleistocactus winteri subs. colademononis.
