Description:

The variegated shape of this succulent presents the typical yellow zones in the exact points where the chlorophyll is absent; such zones will never be identical from one plant to another, thus making each exemplar absolutely unique and, for this reason, very sought after by collectors. It is a specimen not present in nature but created in nursery by Albert Baynes, the founder of the National Cactus & Succulent Society, a wonderful hybrid between 2 species: Graptopetalum paraguayensis and Echeveria gibbiflora. It is a wonderful evergreen plant that while growing produces numerous rosettes large up to 30 cm in diameter. It has robust and pointed leaves, usually of violet-pink color which, with the exposure to the sun or to the dry cold, may get various tonalities: from the bluish-green up to the orange-yellow, from the salmonated up to the bronze. Its summer flowers are pale yellow in color and are sometimes enriched by reddish spots in the center.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sun rays, especially during the hottest hours of the day, as long as they might burn the leaves.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 7 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in winter.

The best soil is a well draining one, so to avoid rotting, for example a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
