Description:
It is a globular cactus with a solitary habit, which can occasionally be clustered at the base. Its light green stem, concave at the apex, with multiple slender well furrowed and the ribs of a wavy shape, equipped with slightly downy white areoles. The radial spines are thin, straight, of a white color with brownish shades, while the central ones are darker, long and flat, which tend to grow upwards. Flowering occurs at the apex of the plant, generating small, funnel-shaped flowers of a pale pink color with purple and red central streaks.

Plant care:
It likes an exposure to full sun in rather airy locations.
It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 5 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.
Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water the plant once a week in spring and summer and suspend watering completely in winter.
The best soil is a well-draining and porous one, even better if further enriched with 50% or more of inert materials such as pumice, lapilli or clay.
They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
