Description:

A rare succulent plant, characterized by a bulb that partly remains underground and partly protrudes outside. Drimiopsis sp. is deciduous, i.e. a plant that loses its leaves during the winter period and renews its foliage in early spring. Its lanceolate leaves of an intense green color are spotted at the base. Its flowers bloom on the peduncle; they will decorate your interior with the most varied colors.

Plant care:

It requires exposure to full sun or even partial shade, as long as it still receives a lot of light during all seasons.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and above all never below 8 ° C, for this reason it is recommended to place it in sheltered places during the winter.

It is advisable to always keep the soil moist enough, never dry, to prevent the bulb from drying out. Pay attention to stagnant water that could cause rot.

A strongly draining soil is optimal, for example formed by a mixture of peat and pumice so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilizations, it will be sufficient to dilute fertilizer with watering once a year.
