Description:

It is a hybrid, which means that this species is not present in nature, but was created in the nursery by crossing two species: Crassula perforata and Crassula rupestris var. marnierian; the result is a wonderful succulent, extremely ornamental, made up of small mint green leaves, rounded and with a slight tip, that takes on beautiful reddish tones in the full sun. The peculiarity of this plant is the arrangement of the foliage, so tightly stacked along the stem so as to completely hide it, giving the idea of beads along the thread of a necklace (hence the cute name of the species). As it grows, the Crassula 'Baby necklace' does not reach large dimensions, but this sculptural and almost miniature appearance makes it so unique, a real must-have in all the finest collections!

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light throughout the year, however, avoid direct sunlight especially during the hottest hours of the day.

It is preferable to keep it at mild temperatures and never below 7 °C, for this reason it is recommended to shelter it during the winter period.

Water moderately and only when the soil is completely dry. It is enough to water it once a week in spring and summer, reduce it to once every two months in autumn and to suspend it completely in winter.

The best soil is a well draining and porous one, for example formed by a mix of peat and pumice so that water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
