Description:

Also known as the Grand Canyon plant of the century, it is a small evergreen succulent in the shape of a rosette, made up of thick and narrow bluish-green leaves, with sharp points, growing upwards and with thorny margins. Its height, which does not exceed 30 centimeters, is compensated by the spikes on which the small yellow flowers bloom in clusters, which even reach 4 meters! A curious fact: Agave utahensis was used in the ares of its origin for food purposes and even as a textile fiber to create warm blankets. Adapted to growing in completely desert territories, this plant is extremely resistant to both extreme heat and intense cold, therefore it is perfect for giving a touch of style and elegance even to the environments of novice growers.

Plant care:

It requires a full sun exposure, even if it can stand a partial shade one only if it receives plenty of light all year around.

It prefers rather mild temperatures, however it survives even in temperatures close to freezing if the soil is dry.

Water moderately but only when the soil is completely dry. Once every two weeks in spring and summer and once every two months in autumn and winter.

A well-draining soil is an optimal solution, even better if further enriched with inert materials such as pumice, sand or lapilli.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
