Description:

The name of the genus Adromischus means "abundant stem" and comes from the Greek "adros" (abundant) and "mischòis" (stem). It’s a slow-growing perennial succulent, characterized by its small size and compact appearance. It develops a radical caudex, in which it stores water to survive droughts. It has glossy green leaves, elongated, with a slight dark green speckle. This succulent plant grows in autumn and is very prone to rottenness throughout the year. Its white flower blooms in spring at the apex of a long peduncle.

Plant care:

It requires a lot of light all year long while avoiding direct sunlight.

Its natural habitat is in tropical climates, thus it does not withstand temperatures below 10 °C and it does not like too dry heat. It is therefore advisable to keep it away from cold and intense sun.

Water moderately and only when the soil is completely dry. Once every two weeks in spring and summer, reduce it to once every two months in autumn and winter.

The best option is a well draining soil, for example formed by a mixture of peat and sand so that the water does not stagnate.

They do not need frequent fertilization, it is sufficient to dilute the fertilizer with watering once a year.
