Art. 40818
Its name derives from Greek and means "tetra" - "four" and "karpos" - "fruit", referring to its quadrocular capsules. This small succulent plant is made up of fleshy leaves, joined at the base in pairs, of a greyish-green or bluish-green color, covered with small darker dots. Like the other Conophytums, this plant also has a particular growth: the new leaves are formed inside the stem and then come out, when the old ones begin to dry out. The dry leaves protect the plant's body during vegetative rest, like some sort of a blanket. In autumn you can admire its attractive yellow flowers and, once flowering is over, the plant continues to grow during the winter period.
